The San Francisco Philippine Consulate recently launched the Viajeros’ art exhibit, Unang Handog at the Kalayaan Hall last June 26.
The Viajeros is a group of Filipino painters from different parts of the Philippines and the United States. Their pieces showcase the Filipino’s skill and talent using different mediums and techniques.
As the Consulate’s SCE Partner, the Viajeros brought their exhibit to San Francisco, to share their stories, through art, to the Filipino American and mainstream communities in the Bay Area.
Also, the Viajeros are showing Filipino art to the world to create global awareness of the Filipino soul and culture of their time. Through art, they hope to establish inter-racial relationships based on mutual acceptance and respect. Believing that art is a powerful uniting force, they are committed to bring their art event to the furthermost corners of the globe in the name of brotherhood and peace.
