United Pangasinanes of America celebrates Pangasinan Day

SAN FRANCISCO – All roads lead to the 2017 Annual Pangasinan Day and Mrs. Pangasinan Coronation Banquet & Ball, Saturday August 12, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City, California. The event which starts at 6:00pm is expected to draw over 300 guests and witness the coronation of Mrs. Pangasinan and her Royal Court, the main highlight of the celebration.

Mrs. Kathleen E. Nicanor from the town of Agno will be crowned 2017-19 Mrs. Pangasinan, along with her Royal Court, Mrs. Norma A. Bitanga of San Carlos City, First Princess and Mrs. Cora V. Rosales of Binmaley, Second Princess.

The annual celebration and the biennial search for Mrs. Pangasinan requires a meticulous process which started in December of 2016 with the formation of the Executive Committee, followed by countless meetings preparing for the big event, that included “Meet & Greet Reception” and First & Last Canvassing” for the candidates.

This year’s Executive Chair is Mrs. Marita N. Padilla with Mrs. Caridad O. Aquino and Mr. Romulo Arenas as Executive Co-Chairs, along with various Committee Chairs, Vice Chairs and active members.

Incumbent President Mario Cendana-Panoringan and First Lady Norma C. Panoringan are Ex-Officio members.

Portion of the net proceeds from the Mrs. Pangasinan contest is allocated to the United Pangasinanes of America, Inc.’s Education & Scholarship Program and other charitable projects.
