My name is Gabriella Makstman. I am a candidate for Daly City Council and I am asking for your vote. I am running to be a representative of the immigrant communities in Daly City.
I immigrated to the United States in 1988 from Latvia, a country in Eastern Europe that was under the dictatorship of the USSR. After my family escaped, I was lucky to grow up in San Francisco, graduate from Lowell High School and San Francisco State University. Now I want to give back to my community.
I have lived in Daly City for most of my adult life and my husband and I are raising our two girls here. We are both passionate about public service. He is Chief Information Security Officer for the City and County of San Francisco.
I am running for Daly City Council to make sure our streets are cleaner, our homes are safer, and that the city budget can support seniors, the youth and the immigrants. I am the best candidate for Daly City because I am the only candidate with 15 years of financial planning experience. I’ve worked for companies like Gap, Inc. and Williams-Sonoma, planning budgets and helping manage expenses. I will make sure Daly City is spending our money wisely.
Please vote for me, Gabriella Makstman for Daly City Council!
