Luis Manzano explains why he and ladylove Jessy Mendiola weren’t included in the currently airing ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID.

“Actually, the shoot for the said station ID took place when we were having our vacation in Okinawa, Japan. We sure missed it but we’re happy with our vacation,” he says.

The articulate “I Can See Your Voice” host reveals that in said travel, he was able to meet Jessy’s sister who is based in the Land of the Rising Sun.

“For one, Okinawa is a different experience, it’s something new for us. Usually, we go to Tokyo or Osaka. This Okinawa trip is refreshing. I felt so much relaxed.

“We paid a visit to Jessy’s sister who’s living there whose husband is from the navy. They haven’t seen each other for five years already so, I’m glad to have been part of their reunion. Jessy also got to know her niece Jasmin. It’s a joy to see them bond together after a long time.”

How’s his meeting with Jessy’s sibling?

“Well, I’d like to think that we’re okay,” avers Luis. “We got along well. We enjoyed. I also got along well with her husband. He even posted some of our stories on Instagram. So, I can say my meeting with Jessy’s sister turned out to be fine.”

Speaking of travel, many say that many couples become closer whenever they fly together. Does he believe?

Oh, yes! Traveling really helps in terms of getting to know your partner better. In my case with Jessy, I’m happy that our relationship gets deeper in the passing of days. We’re so happy. Meeting her sister is a nice start. It’s a progress that I’m meeting the family. I’m grateful that we’re taking everything one step at a time.”

Interestingly, apart from his love life, the be-dimpled TV host-comedian’s career remains on the upswing as well. Proof is the upcoming resumption of his game show “Minute to Win It” on air. This would make him very visible since he also hosts the top-rating “I Can See Your Voice.”

“Yes, I’m very happy that ‘Minute to Win It’ will be back on air soon. The management received lots of requests from the viewing public. Because of the clamor, they will bring it back. We promise to have the biggest stars as guests. We will also have new and exciting games in the show. We will also have a new segment in which we will go to various areas to give away cash prizes. Truly, exciting days are ahead.”
