District 5 Supervisor David Canepa led a ribbon-cutting ceremony last March 31 to start the second year of District 5 Together, a cultural and resource fair.
This year’s theme is: A world united.
San Mateo city officials, businessmen and volunteers all contributed to the event’s success.
It was the first time awards were given to District 5 officials, student and business.
Honored were Citizens of the year: Daly City’s Sal Torres, Broadmoor Village’s Robert Brizuels, Colma Vice-mayor Joanne del Rosario, Brisbane’s Mitch Bull, San Bruno’s Kristie Postel and Soth San Francisco’s Cindy Alger.
