San Francisco – The San Francisco based United Pangasinanes of America, Inc. has launched its “Search for Miss Pangasinan 2018-2020. This was announced by Past President Fred T. Almeron, who is serving this year as the Chairman of the Executive Committee, with current Chairwoman of the Board of Directors Caridad O. Aquino as Co-Chair. Serving as Chairwoman of the Search Committee is former Mrs. Pangasinan and current Controller Marita N. Padilla.
The Search for Miss Pangasinan is a two-segment program, starting with the Presentation and Talent Competition on July 1 at the Best Western Grosvenor Hotel, and the final judging and coronation of the queen and her royal court on August 11 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City, California.
In a separate statement, Mario Cendana-Panoringan, UPAI 16th President stressed that the biennial staging of the “Miss Pangasinan Talent and Beauty Pageant” is the main highlight of the Annual Pangasinan Day, which also includes the organization’s Annual Thanksgiving Mass and Annual Family Picnic. We encourage our Town/City affiliates and their members to take active part in the celebration, he added.
Search Committee Chair Marita N. Padilla also bared three of eight eligibility requirements as follows, 1) Contestant shall be of Pangasinan ancestry, 2) Contestant must be single and never been married, and 3) Contestant must be a resident in California.
