IGLESIA NI CRISTO: Neighborhood Outreach in San Jose

In commemoration of the 131st birthdate of their late Last Messenger Brother Felix Y Manalo, The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of North West California comprising of 18 local congregations in the Bay Area have lined up several activities that will benefit the community. It has extended its services not just to give back to the community but more importantly to share the good news of salvation.

Last May 7, the District have participated in the Worldwide Evangelical Mission that was officiated by Brother Eduardo V Manalo, Executive Minister of INC who officiated it from Barcelona, Spain. It was broadcast live at over 3,000 sites all over the world thru webex technology. Religious leaders, Rabi and Preachers were invited to the event to give them the first hand information on the spiritual belief of its Church. On May 13th, the 5K Run For Your Faith was held in Lake Merrit in Oakland, California. The event was participated in by over a thousand brethren and guests from all walks of life. While on Saturday the 20th of the month, several of their Local Congregations will conduct a Blood Drive in cooperation with the Stanford University Blood Bank. The Blood Drive is a yearly event observed by its membership and donate blood of all types for those that are in need.

Finally, on May 27th on the last Saturday of the month, the INC in the Local Congregation of San Jose (1260 Story Rd, San Jose CA 95122) will hold a Neighborhood Outreach program thru their Christian Family Organization and in cooperation with various media outlets and community associations. The FREE EVENT is wholly sponsored by INC will again be a testament of the Church leadership desire to provide services to the needy.

Over the years the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) from all over the world has extended a helping hand to their fellow men thru their Felix Y Manalo Foundation. FYM Foundation is the INC’s arm in implementing Lingap sa Mamamayan (Aid to Humanity). The platform initiative is to provide relief (dry and canned) goods, health care and such other services designed to alleviate those who are stricken by calamities and disasters. It has offered seminars for members and non-members some sustainable livelihood projects, disaster preparedness, first aid and other humanitarian activities such as blood donation and community clean up drives conducted in different parts of the world. FYM Foundation is officially registered here in the United States as well as in Japan, South Korea, Spain and Russia.
