After a two-year hiatus, Diego Loyzaga decided to return to the limelight and is now a Viva Artists Agency talent.

“Definitely, I had lots of realizations when I was on vacation, so to speak,” he says. “For the first time in my life, I put myself first, like I asked myself, ‘How are you at present? Is this really what you want to do? Are these the people you want to be associated with in the business and career path you want to do for the next ten years?

“When we were young, I guess, we were asked hypothetical questions like, where do you want to see yourself in the next five or ten years? That’s what I did when I was on break. I made some soul-searching. I reflected on what’s the next big decision I’ll do in my life or where will its next chapter carry me. So, there were really a lot of realizations along the way.”

It can be remembered that in 2018, it was reported that the good-looking lad was rushed to the hospital although there was no official statement from his camp as to the reason why. During those times, he was part of the Kapamilya drama series “Los Bastardos.” He wasn’t able to go back to the taping of the said show until his character was killed in the story. That signaled Diego’s break from the ‘biz.

But now, he’s going back to his passion which is acting. Many just ask why he’s doing it at a time when there’s a pandemic which has directly hit the showbiz industry.

“Actually, I wanted an earlier comeback, but given all the circumstances that 2020 has brought us, what better time than now? Of course, I thought that things out there are not getting better, but if there’s a way in which you can still be productive.

“That’s the main goal of an individual—to have a living, to fulfill the purpose of his living. In my time and reflection, I realized that acting is what I really want to do and excel into. I want to become a good actor and make projects that the public would appreciate. That’s my passion and that’s what I want in life!

“I told myself, if I will wait until all the happenings in the world will stop, I might reach the stage in which I already have white hair or worse, hairless and remain unaccomplished. So, as I’ve said, what better time to start than now?

It’s obvious that in the way he conveys his thoughts now, Diego has matured a lot.

“Everything that has happened to me, I think that’s part and parcel of life. All of us experiences heartache, meets difficulties in our jobs, and faces tough challenges. Sometimes, we’re ready, sometimes we aren’t. But it doesn’t mean that you have to quit your day job and just live a simple life. Of course, I’m not saying that I don’t want a simple life. I can still live it though even if I’m doing showbiz. It still depends on you since it’s you who complicates your life.”

Asked about his former love team and rumored ex-flame Sofia Andres who is now a mother and is happy with partner Daniel Miranda, the appealing bloke avers:

“I’m happy, really happy for her. I can see in her social media posts that she’s happy. So, I wish her the best!”
