In the midst of the Corona Virus crisis in the Philippines, some of the celluloid firmament’s popular fixtures extended help to those in need. One of them is Vice Ganda.
The talented comedian-host recently posted in his social media accounts the items he donated in four hospitals in the National Capital Region in the fight against the virus.
“Yes! The tons of boxes include N95 masks, disposable gloves, safety goggles, alcohol and disinfectants. The recipients of these are the Lung Center of the Philippines, Quezon City General Hospital, Philippine Children Medical Center and the San Lazaro Hospital.

“I know that in social media, there’s a huge clamor for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the protection of various workers especially those from the medical field and health. They are really the heroes in this difficult chapter of our lives,” avers Vice.
In his account, the “It’s Showtime” host thanked medical and health workers for their unwavering service to the Filipino people. He states:
“MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA LAHAT NG MGA FRONTLINERS PARA SA PAGMAMAHAL AT PAGKALINGA NINYO SA MGA MADLANG PEOPLE!!!
“MABUHAY PO KAYO! PAGPALAIN NG DIYOS ANG INYONG KABAYANIHAN.”
With his gesture, some of Vice’s friends from the showbiz circle praised him. Among these were: Charlene Gonzalez, Ruffa Gutierrez, Bianca Gonzalez, Pokwang, Liz Uy, Mariel Padilla, Jugs Jugueta and Angel Locsin.
Interestingly, in this time of crisis, some netizens can still afford to bash stars when it comes to the voluntary help they can extend considering their status. Through social media, the witty comic ace comments:
“Wag nyo na po kaming pagka abalahan.
“Wag nyo na pong problemahin kung paano kami tumutulong.
“Ang isipin nyo na lng po ay kung paano kayo makakatulong.
“God bless you po. Pls be safe.”
