Community Buzz with Ces Noble

Mayor Chavit Singson recently visited San Francisco and graced the Inaugural Ball of the Narvacan Fil-Am Association. He inducted the new officers of the said association and inspired philanthropic giving among members towards their new projects such as the proposed Eye Clinic in Narvacan. Mrs Nieves Cortez, Vice President of Narvacan Association, rallied her fellow officers to accept the challenge: “We will not only give back to our community, we plan to pay it forward,” declares VP Cortez. Mayor Chavit was delighted with the response to this challenge and has committed to match whatever the group will be able to collect.

The mission of the Narvacan association is to create a dynamic humanitarian organization that helps promote an environment and culture of love, respect, cooperation among its leaders, members and beneficiaries. It extends assistance towards the improvement of livelihood, economic independence, health care and job-training among the underprivileged of Narvacan. It also provides educational assistance to hardworking and deserving students.

The vision of the Narvacan Association is to see a community where people are empowered, self-reliant, independent and enjoying health and educational opportunities.

Towards this, the Association have planned for medical missions, infrastructure building, scholarship seminars and other activities that will start first quarter of 2020.
