According to Joshua Garcia, it’s just fine with him if perennial screen partner and rumoured steady Julia Barretto is paired with Gerald Anderson in a new Star Cinema potboiler which is currently being shot in Japan.

“In all honesty, I’m proud of what Julia and I both achieve in our love team and individual career. It’s a huge blessing that we’re busy with projects. I’m truly happy with such developments,” he avers.

Has he talked to Gerald about this matter?

“No, no! Gerald is like an older brother to me. For one, we have the same handler.”

On his part, the cute lad is also open to the idea of working outside the JoshLia umbrella.

“Yes, it’s just okay with me if I’ll also get paired with other actresses apart from Julia. I think it’s for our growth as artists. Given the choice, I would love to collaborate on screen with Ms. Angel Locsin. That would be great!”

JoshLia fans need not worry because after their last offering “I Love You, Hater” shown last year, the two are currently filming a project titled “Block Z.”

“That’s right!” says Joshua. “It’s a horror vehicle under the helm of Mikhail Red whose plot is about zombies. We’re excited because it’s a new genre for us. It’s truly horrifying. Even I got scared during our shooting. I’m sure it will be worth the wait.”

His lady love celebrated her 22nd birthday early last month and it is one occasion he didn’t miss attending.

“Of course! For said special occasion, I actually gave her 22 gifts. They were all dresses. I witnessed how happy Julia was while opening the gifts!”

Prior to this, the pair received an accolade in the recently-concluded 50th GMMSF Box Office Entertainment Awards Night.

“We were named as Prince and Princess of Philippine Movies and Television. I was physically present to accept the award but Julia was not. She was in Japan.

It’s a huge honor and we’re very grateful to the GMMSF for such recognition. It’s very inspiring,” Joshua states.

In another development, the popular heartthrob is very happy to have bought his maiden property recently: a townhouse located somewhere in Quezon City.

It is one of his cherished dreams since he started his showbiz career.

It was learned that the property is a three-level townhouse and serves as Joshua’s gift to his father. Construction was completed in 2018 but the furnishings were brought in early this year. He paid it in cash. His next goal to fulfill is to build his dream house, a gaming house type which was inspired by his travel to Barcelona in 2016.
