The first impeachment complaint against President Rodrigo Duterte was filed before the Philippine House of Representatives by Magdalo party-list Congressman Gary Alejano. He is a former rebel soldier with Sen. Antonio Trillanes III, a critic of Duterte in the Senate.

About 47 members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and their allies were reported killed and wounded while five improvised explosive devices (IED) and components were seized during a three-day operation in Datu Salibo, Maguindanao, an official said in a statement last March 19.
