CCHP reaffirms commitment to participate in Covered California amid uncertainty

SAN FRANCISCO – CCHP is committing to working with Covered California in 2018 to continue to serve our community by providing coverage to individuals, families and small employers in the health insurance marketplace.

Despite of recent news about health plans leaving the marketplace, citing lower profitability or uncertainty of federal funding, CCHP is reaffirming to current and prospective members of our commitment to our San Francisco and northern San Mateo County communities – We are here for the long term.

For anyone whose current health plan is exiting San Francisco or northern San Mateo County regions, we urge them to consider CCHP. New members are always welcomed and we’ll work with them and our network providers to make the transition easier. “We are a community based health plan. We were started over 30 years because many in our community were not well served by the interests of other health plans. Over time, we found a way to provide high-quality, affordable health care to a larger, more diverse community.” Said Brenda Yee, RN, MSN, CEO of CCHP and Chinese Hospital. “We’ve consistently strived to offer the best health plan value over time even as industry changes cause other health plans to come and go.”
